Default Darling Uk Dvd
I see that the DVD of 'Darling' starring Julie Christie will be released in the UK tomorrow March 5th, I have a US copy but there are cuts during the Paris party scene, does anybody know if Optimum are using the UK print without the cuts ?

Interesting. I wonder why the cuts? To the best of my knowledge the transmission on BBC2 in 1991 is complete, although missing the start of film ident caption.

Yes the transmission in 1991 was complete and I still have that on video tape, the US DVD has the cuts where a couple are making love on the bed for the party guests and if you had not seen the complete un-cut film you would wonder what they were looking at because all you see are the guests faces, I guess it must be the americans being prudice again, killing and blood is ok but making love is not.
