There are a few threads including 'The Rise and Rise of Michael Rimmer' so I'm happy to tell you that it will be released on DVD this summer.

We're working on it now, but haven't got a release date yet. You can check on Digital Classics DVD and I'll keep it updated when I have a firm release date. Hopefully by July.

I seem to recall old Walton on Thames town centre turning up as a location in this one ; be nice to have a clearer copy...

We're filming the Director's Commentary tomorrow for the bonus. If you have any burning questions then post them here and I'll be sure to ask him. Kevin Billington has loads of stories from the making of the film so it should be a great commentary.

Oh, and provided there are no problems with Warners, the release date is set for 25 June (two days before Tony Blair steps down).

I remember when the film first came out I was too young and naive - imagine!! - to understand the significence of the title character's name.

This is out tomorow (Monday 25th June). There's a clip with George A. Cooper's election broadcast scene on the Digital Classics website.

The DVD feaures a director's (Kevin Billington) commentary too.
