Default "Long Lost Comedy Classics"

Nice ad for some new releases, promoted as Long Lost Comedy Classics.

None are that long . . .
Not sure if any have truly been "lost" . . .
Comedy? Yes, well, possibly (Sid James is in most of them)
Classics? Well, it'll be good to see them, they're all 50+ years old but . . .

Orders are Orders (1954)
Miss Robin Hood (1952): Margaret Rutherford and Reg Varney IN THE SAME FILM? Is this allowed?
The Love Match (1955)
John and Julie (hooray! at last!!)
Make Me an Offer (1955)
Time Gentlemen Please (1952)

It's interesting to see which cast members are promoted on the packaging.

Even better is this title:

One title is James Cameron's Titanic.

Wow that's a lot of cash for a pretty poor overall selection

That's to help celebrate British film by reminding you how shit American film can be.

That is hilarious DB7. Only six out of the nine films are British. I must remember what to put on the first line of my application form if I ever apply to work for 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.

I could only find them on the HMV site. The people who produce them are connected to these people:-

Getplayboy: Buy official Playboy DVDs featuring nude centrefolds, playmates, page 3 girls and British babes, with Rebekah Teasdale, Adele Stevens, Jo Guest and other glamour models and celebrities

Anyway, thanx for the info. Amazon.co.uk said it (the set) was of limited availability.

I'm sure Time Gentlemen Please starred Eddie Byrne: on the cover, we have Sid James, Dora Bryan, Thora Hird and Raymond Lovell. Just goes to show . . .
