I have just watched ' Western Approaches' and H. Wadham was one of the radio Officers on the ship' Leander' along with your father. Is your father able to say if he remembers Wadham? Wadham was RO on my Dad's ship. Rescue Ship' Goodwin'. Dad was Master from Feb 44 to end of hostilities. Captain Bill Hartley D.S.C.- also Master of Rescue Ship , ' Copeland' from Aug 42 to Feb 44. We have a superb water colour painting done by Wadham - a real artist. Hope that you can help. regards BrenShack

My father, now aged mid 80s, was the young radio officer (his profession since 1936) - filmed during leave in 1942 at Pinewood. Most were serving men and dad went back to the Atlantic Convoys shortly after.

I know this posting is a while back ( ! ) but I hope that you pick this up. My father- Bill Hartley, was Captain of Rescue Ship,'Goodwin' from feb '44 to end of hostilities. One of his Radio Officers was H? Wadham. If your father is still around, would he remenber him? Wadham was in the film with your father.We have a painting at home which proves that Wadham was also a very talented artist.
