Default Special Branch Series 2 out in early July

At last! Another long awaited release.

I was dissapointed to discover the excellent Norman Kay theme used throughout Series 1 was dropped in favour of a very dull and dreary tune from the usually great Robert Earley. The first episode from this series was of course featured as an extra on the 1974 box set.

Wonder if the 1972 and 1975 series of "Public Eye" are planned? Let's hope so!

I'm looking forward to this one, though I wasn't keen on the Norman Kay theme. When the series went over to colour during season one I thought it sounded a bit old fashioned.

I thought season one as a whole a bit hit-and-miss, but fascinating nonetheless, especially to a long-tern fan of Callan.

I wish they would release more 'Public Eye' .... and what's left of series 1, 2, and all of series 4 of 'Callan' as well .... I have dvds of the early 'Callan' episodes and I can't believe they are beyond restoring. What a box set that would be ....
