May the 21st release for The Beatles' iconic 1967 television offering, in the Pal format, all regions.
Not their finest moment perhaps, but one for the completists. Where are "Help!" and "Let It Be" then? Cheers, Nobby. |

Unfortunately it would appear that the 21 May release is one of those critical review jobs and not the actual film.
The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour Rock Milestones takes you through the looking glass, as we draw on the expertise of a top team of critics and musicologists to find the story behind The Magical Mystery Tour. Industry insiders offer their professional insights into how the music was made and its consequent influences, whilst a swathe of carefully researched archive interview and performance footage will take you back in time for a truly first hand experience. Does anyone know who owns MMT? The versions that have been released are not on Apple. |

It wasn't The Beatles' finest offering, but the BBC shares much of the blame - for example, it has numerous "sight gags" based on colour, but the BBC first aired the movie in black and white (!!) during the 1967 Christmas first release.
