I also have this transfer, crunchie, and agree that it looks far better! Surely using this is more sensible than a battered old print?
I have the US and UK DVD releases of this and both are awful quality and both are missing the infamous phone box scene. Thank goodness I also have a VHS recording from Channel 4 many years ago which, now safely onto DVDR, is uncut and looks miles better than any released version. It's high time this film was treated with some respect by the DVD companies!

Although the quality of the DVD was not brill I am extremely happy to have had the opportunity to see the film at long last. Its one I missed upon release but it had some nice moments in it which we enjoyed very much and kept us guessing. For a few pounds it was excellent value for money and when viewing I switched the widescreen box of tricks to 4:3 which made the iffy transfer better viewing.
