No, not bootlegs, but two DVDs about pirates to be released later this month.

Sea Devils (1953) dir Raoul Walsh
with Rock Hudson, Arthur Wontner, Bryan Forbes, Maxwell Reed

Pirates of Tortuga (1961) dir Robert D Webb
with Ken Scott, Dave King, Robert Stephens, Maxwell Reed

Bats.

Ha Ha I think most people will enter the thread in the belief that this will be about bad / naughty copies!

I've not seen seen 'P.O.T.' but I gather it's a pretty cheesy, low budget affair. 'S.D.' however is a pretty decent film .... Rock looks suitably heroic and Bryan Forbes is good value as the 'cheery sidekick' .... Max, of course, is a seriously brooding villain, albeit a bit thick. It's also nice to see Arthur Wontner in his penultimate film .... he was one the best Sherlock's.
