Its great that its finally been released in Region 2, but its going to be six pounds more for basically the same as the Region 1 release (which I already have). If they had added some extras (and Beating the Devil would have been a good source), then I might be more interested. Of course if the price comes down....

'Beating the Devil' is increasingly difficult to get hold of (and often at pretty silly prices),although Smiths and others say they stock it according to this site but if you go on the Waterstones website, you can find one or two copies held by branches. Forget the web-based shop, which is useless, but instead go to your local branch and order it from them.

BTW - has anyone got a link for the distributor? Mediumrare seems to be impossible to find on the web, even though they have or are bringing out a whole load of good stuff such as Kids in the Hall and Dark Skies (finally!).

It's a real shame there are no significant extras even on the US release (I don't count the truncated US version as "significant").

Even the trailer would be worthwhile because it includes a shot of the demon which isn't in the movie.

So the new DVD has the US version as well as the UK version? Play only seems to have this one:

I did a price search and some list the title as one disc, others as two discs, all for the same retail price. I'm confused. I'd prefer just to get the UK version for cheaper! Oh well, it's a real classic.

Both films are on one disc. I have had a copy this for a couple of years now, I got it from the Far East. The picture quality and sound are excellent.
