ah maybe I will do that, thanks. This set is the only way you will get Love Story, which I want to see, as a big Margaret Lockwood fan...

name='Able Abel']Love the theme tune to this film. I believe it was originally recorded by Italian singer Marino Marini

Also covered by Petula Clark in French.

Really! I didn't know that ... thanks for letting me know.

The only versions of this song I can recall, is the one done by Marini (on the soundtrack) and a cover version by bandleader, Geoff Love (under his Manuel pseudonym) which was a Top 40 hit, in the British pop charts in 1959.

name='julian_craster']The Stewart Granger Collection (12 DVD Disks) (Region 2 - UK)

To be released June 11th 2007.

    Comprises:

    Adam and Evelyne,

    Blanche Fury,

    Caesar And Cleopatra,

    Captain Boycott,

    Fanny By Gaslight,

    Lamp Still Burns,

    Love Story,

    Madonna of The Seven Moons,

    Magic Bow,

    Waterloo Road,

    Woman Hater

    Caravan.

Hmmm Stewart Granger hasn't made many good films... and I am a fan! But he usually looks pretty good ... check out his outfit in Caesar & Cleopatra! He is a ray of light in a very dull film that not even Claude Rains can make interesting. But each film has its own charm I guess... I really like Waterloo Road but have an affection for The Magic Bow (which is a very silly film) and I quite like Blanche Fury. Yep... he did mainly silly films... but I am still a fan

Lady L, I do quite agree... like another fave of mine, Margaret Lockwood, they got put in many dreadful films that weren't worthy of their fine talents...

He was an actor at the wrong time along with others. As the 50's progressed the output from the movie industry, on the whole, became pretty dire and caused the death of much of the industry as it failed to compete with TV.
