1980: Three art students making low budget film/ reporter keen to make name for herself/

local police investigating seemingly random murders.

    Two-disc set includes:

    1. The broadcast movie-length version

    2. Original six-part episodic version

(without distinctive music by Roxy Music's Andy Mackay)

DVD will be enjoyed by 1980s fans and viewers content with intriguing, slow-moving story.

This is the first opportunity to see the six-part series which was never broadcast.

If you liked the earlier Network release of " Thriller " then you would like AT given that they are not resticted to just an hour format this gives them longer to build up the tension and suspense.

I would recommend them, by the way Network are due to release a box set of all 10 AT's which would could you less currently than buying all the individual volumes.

Thriller is one of my favourite series ever, but I have to say I don't really like Armchair Thriller much.I find them slow and the story's just don't grab me.I was suprised as I remember Quiet As A Nun on it's inital broadcast as being great..

I thought the best of a poor bunch was A Dog's Ransom.

For me the best anthology UK series to appear on DVD recently is Time For Murder a series of 6 hour long shows.I know people have been trading one episodce on here for years called The 13th Day of Christmas.

It's only region 1 at the moment but I was fortunate to pick it up very cheaply on e bay.

Armchair Thriller is fantastic. My favourites are:

    The Limbo Connection

    Quiet As A Nun

    A Dog's Ransom

    The Circe Complex

    Dying Day

    Rachel In Danger

Some of the others are a bit naff but those all had me riveted.

Does anybody know whether this is a Network exclusive? I pre-ordered from Play.com months ago but now there is no release date shown.

No one seems to have the Armchair Thriller box set in stock - it usually just says 'due for release 3/11/08'. Has anyone actually seen it?

'Dead Man' Kit' is supposed to be released this week but has anyone managed to locate a copy yet? Mine's still on pre-order with Play.

Thanks for the info, but when you read the details it's still a pre-order.

Play are now saying it's 'Temporarily out of stock'....!

Although this was showing as "pre-order" it turned up in the post tonight.

Lucky me, I suppose as it's now showing as Currently Unavailable
