Has anyone bought any of the Odeon Entertainment releases? Their stuff tends to be the same films that are screened on Movies4Men, but are they the same prints (minus the enormous M4M logo) or significantly better.

Two examples I would be especially interested in knowing about are A Prize of Arms, which on M4M starts out widescreen, then is pan and scanned aftre the credits, and Girl in the Headlines.

I got my Prize of Arms dvd today and it is much the same as the M4M print which I got from another forum member. That is not a bad thing as it is a pretty good print. I also have Tomorrow at Ten and Girl in the Headlines but I have nothing to compare them with, however both of them are OK too.

Forgot to put this info in my earlier post.

'Prize of Arms' and 'Tomorrow at Ten' are both full screen.

'Girl in the Headlines' is in glorious widescreen.

Watched The Black Torment last night - as a film it held together much better than I anticipated (a sort of Hammer Horror gothic mystery) and the print was better than I was anticipating. So heads up for this one.

There seems to be somekind of distribution problem with some of these titles. I pre-ordered A Prize Of Arms and Girl In The Headlines from Sendit, only to be informed by e-mail a few weeks later that Prize was unavailable, while Girl was on back order ages before I cancelled my order and got it from Play instead (both titles seem available from that site)

Play had no problem sending Girl In The Headlines out to me (I canceled my order with Sendit on Monday, ordered it with Play who sent it out the next day), so it looks like the problem's with Sendit (I've just had a quick look on their site and A Prize Of Arms doesn't seem to be listed.)
