I noticed the following have now been released on dvd in the UK:

Zee & Co - Michael Caine

Bunny Lake is Missing - Laurence Olivier

Take a Girl Like You - Oliver Reed

Footsteps in the Fog - Stewart Granger

    Tall Headlines - Flora Robson

    cheers

But Take A Girl Like You and Zee & Co (both Sony releases) already seem elusive - only offered by one Amazon seller at inflated prices.

Surely they can't be oop already? Anyone know anything?

Both films I mentioned are showing in the coming week on Simply Movies (also discussed in the Films on TV thread), which seems to be linked to simplyhe - it has the same logo; constantly advertises simplyhe box sets, and mostly shows films from the Columbia/Sony catalogue some of which, like Zee & Co and Take A Girl Like You, are only available from simplyhe.

Unfortunately it also shows them in the horrible "squashed" format common to these low budget channels. A shame, as there are many rarities on offer. Earlier in the week they were promising The Buttercup Chain but that now seems to have vanished from the schedule.

Better to see a film squashed than not at all IMO
