    I wonder if anyone on this site owns or has seen this DVD which starts with "Addressing The Nation(1933)"Is it any good and is it worth buying?

    Opened mine on Christmas Day - only seen 'Coming of the dial' so far (great little short raving about the introduction of the telephone dial!)



    Looks like a great companion set for 'Land of Promise'

    Like LOP this set also comes with a BFI book.



    I would certainly reccommend this for anyone interested in early Documentaries / social history.

    Ditto wagner1966! A very welcome Christmas present, and have also watched "The coming of the Dial", together with "John Atkins Saves up" - the latter particularly recommended.

    It's excellent and not the same selection that the BFI showed at the NFT and other cinemas last year. Which means there are plenty of treats in store for the next volume.
