Not really but it's now shown as a 3 disc set with a running time of 540 minutes. Actors include Ian Holm, Aubrey Morris, Joss Ackland and Denholm Elliott which makes it difficult to narrow down as 3 of those appeared in more than one episode. Could it be all the existing ABC instalments from series 1 & 2?

as you said, the actors mentioned are in more than one episode but these episodes are in the first two series, which are said to be deleted(apart from 'the open door').also,i've noticed that the episodes which escaped deletion tally up to around 540 minutes which sounds like the amazon description is someones guesswork as to content. i've contacted network but to no avail,so i wouldn't be surprised if the release date is put back or cancelled!

I can only hope you are wrong as I pre-ordered a copy from Amazon at a bargain price a few weeks ago. As far as I know it includes all the episodes that survive.

Update: it's only the surviving Thames episodes from the last 2 series as Network don't have access to any of the ABC instalments.

"The Mystery and Imagination release brings together all six of the specially commissioned feature-length teleplays which made up the latter incarnation of Mystery and Imagination. Produced by Thames Television, and originally screened between 1968 and 1970.

Please note that the release of the DVD has been pushed back by a couple of months.

The first few series were made by ABC and most of them are missing. The ones still existing aren't covered under the terms of the licence, which is why it's just the last two series of the 90 minute shows (the Thames ones). So unfortunately we're not allowed to include any of the others left"

i thought they might be put back! so then am i right to think that the episodes to be released are:

    'uncle silas'

    'dracula'

    'frankenstein'

    'the suicide club'

    'the mummy'

    'sweeney todd'?

I think you are right, lets hope the delay does not give Amazon a chance to cancel those bargain pre-orders. I'm happy to wait
