We bought this quite recently after reminiscing about how good it was. We watched the first part last night and found it had lost none of its 'WOW' factor. The music (especially the use of old library music) was wonderful, as was the 'corny' dialogue in the imaginary parts. It has only just occurred to me that 'Life on Mars' used the same 'is he mad, is he in a coma or has he really gone back in time?' device. By far the best of Denis Potter's stuff in my opinion, although 'Karaoke' had a similar quality.
...am I right or am I right?
