Out on the 28th of April in the US on Dark Sky Films, in its original 2.35:1 ratio with commentary with producer Paul Malansky, Ian Ogilvy and Barbara Steele. This was an Italian-UK co-production released by Miracle Films in 1966. It was cut at the time to a length of 76 minutes but this version runs for 79.
The She Beast - Dark Sky Films
It had a TV screening in the UK once and the picture quality was dreadful. If Dark Sky have managed to source a high quality print then they have performed a real service, as this is a historically important film, since Reeves is generally recognised as a major director who died far too young.

It could be same print used by Alpha. The film itself is pretty good IMHO, not in the class of Reeves' more famous films but well worth a look, particularly if the print is better on the Dark Sky release.![]()
Love the title. In the early eighties "video nasty" craze a friend came up with the ultimate nasty title "Sex Slave of the Blood Beast" ( but he also claimed to have come up with name name Curly Wurly before Cadbury's).
The Alpha release is a bootleg and I understand it is is 1.33:1 whereas the new edition is licensed and in scope.
Dark Sky are generally good and have not stooped to releasing grey-market transfers like the Alpha discs. So this should be a good looking DVD.
Only question is - is the film worth watching?
