Network - Aldwych Farce

Network have just annouced the release on 27th April of Stormy Weather one of the Aldwych farces, I can think of at least one member on here that will be pleased by that.

I wonder if this is the first of many... most of the Aldwych stuff was for the same studio wasn't it? Has Network bought up a job lot of 1930s Gainsborough stuff? *is hopeful*

The rights to the Gaumont and Gainsborough Productions lie with ITV, from what I can gather and the earlier (up to 1933) Herbert Wilcox Productions are owned by Canal+.

So no chance whatsoever of the Herbert Wilcox ones appearing in our lifetime then !

I can only remember one ever being shown on television (Turkey Time), so this is indeed good news.
