Looks like you've found the best offer david - Find-DVD has Tesco as the cheapest but is showing it at £12.96
it seems the supermarkets are going to have a bit of a price war on this much like they did on casino royale . i seen a banner advertising it for £7 in tescos ,not sure if theres any catches involved like having to spend money on things elsewhere in store .
i want to pick up a copy on monday ,does anyone know where the best deal is ?

Yes, that is what I have heard so off I will go to the nearest Tesco today. I am glad it is Tesco that is doing this great offer and not Asda which is bloody miles away from me!
Me and Bats agreed to disagree over this film, but for £7 i took the trip to Tesco this morning. It will be top dollar again on Thursday.

... I just got back from Tesco's myself.

Hopefully the "special edition" features deleted scenes with some much-needed charm.I liked "Casino Royale" very much, but this one just left me cold.
I wish they would release a DC and maybe it might make a better film with the added footage.![]()
I do most of my new release buying from Asda but they seem the most expensive today! Went to Tesco and got one for £7 and spent the extra saved on lunch for beloved and myself..

I bought it at Morrison's for over £9.00.

i got mine from morrisons too . watching it again last night confirmed to me that it was just the meedja putting the boot in when they seen the chance , the bad reviews this film got .
there's everything you would expect in a james bond film ,fast cars ,beautiful women ,cunning stunts .the only thing missing was gadgets and double entendres ,although some of my favourite bonds are like that LTK ,OHMSS ,so im not complaining . taking note of how many copies were being sold in the supermarket yesterday and even some of the films detractors nipping out to buy a copy ,i dont think the film was as bad as the meedja would like us to believe

I didn't think it was bad but I was disappointed by it as Casino Royale had been so surprisingly good and this wasn't in the same league.
There were a couple of good bits in Quantum of Solace but it's one of the Bond films I wouldn't bother to watch again (along with A View to a Kill and Die Another Day) unless I was unable to extricate myself from my sofa after eating too much at Christmas![]()
my least favourite bonds are TMWTGG and AVTAK but i'll still occasionally watch them and enjoy them when i do .
the only fair criticism i heard about question of sport was from mark kermode who said that it was a film which seemed to have been made by the second director in that it was a series of stunts and car chases welded together .or in other words a weak direction from the main director . i think thats probably true and why its not as good as CR ,why they didnt just rehire campbell is beyond me .

He was unavailable due to him making The Legend of Zorro and being involved in the Edge of Darkness remake.
i understand that he would have other films in the pipeline that he's going to work on but if eon knew they were going to do CR and then QOS as a sequel ,couldnt they have booked campbell years in advance ?

Bond film directors have always been hired on a film by film basis, even those who did more than one. If Casino Royale had been shite (quiet James), they'd have been stuck with him. Besides, not many directors like to be tied down by long term contracts.
Watched it last night of the 50" box via HDMI DVD and thought the quality was good on this one. On the second DVD the crew material was nice but rather pointless putting so little on the DVD we thought...
one complaint ,why do we have to sit through a load of ads when its not a rental copy that youre watching ? i had to speed up through all that tom cruise / im a pretty boy nazi rubbish .

I thought Valkyrie was OK .... not a classic, but enjoyable all the same.
