I've just tried to order one of their DVD's and went through the whole process of registering and chose United Kingdom as the country to post it to from their list of countries, only to be told that I wasn't allowed to buy it because I live outside the United States. Bloody marvelous!

Perhaps the ones I wanted to buy will eventually be made available through amazon, like those Warner Best Buy exclusives usually are.

Let's hope the British companies follow suit with this idea.

And a recent Warner chat on another forum promised they will sell outside the UK as long as there aren't rights issues. You can also order titles from Movies Unlimited who do ship here but at around 5 dollar postage per title. That said I have ordered from them before and they are good for hard to find oddities.

Movies Unlimited sucks! About ten years ago I ordered several movies from them. One was out of stock. Instead of an automatic refund, which most mail orders do, they give you a credit and a toll free number to call to request a refund. I called and told the woman who answered I wanted a refund. She then asked me again a minute later when i already made clear why I called. To be polite I said I'd prefer a refund. She said, "Do you want a refund or not?" I said yes. She said, "Otherwise you don't get one." I never got the refund and have not ordered anything from them since.
