One of my earliest tv memories is finally being released, Sergeant Cork starring the great John Barron as a Victorian detective, the complete first series of this is being released by Network, provisionally, on the 7th September

Don't know if you made a typo there, but it was John Barrie in Sergeant Cork, not John Barron. Great series, I remember watching it as a lad.

I have been wondering if this series still existed and now comes this amazing news! I only

know John Barrie from the first episode of Man In A Suitcase, where he played Angela

Browne's father, but that will soon change, all being well. I found this article a few weeks

ago, my first introduction to the show:

William Gaunt impressed Lew Grade enough to cast him in The Champions a year later.

EDIT - Curiously, IMDB credits The Case of the Horseless Carriage (Series 2, Episode 4),

seen above, as being broadcast on 2nd January 1968, long after the second and final

    season ended.

If you can find an earlier date then you can change it in the IMDb

Yep fat finger syndrome of course meant to say John Barrie.

As you say 716, fab series and can't wait for the memories to come flooding back

how come amazon advertise things from network before even network make any announcement yet they withdraw info for 'mystery and imagination' and 'the mind of j g reeder' which are due for release by network in 3 weeks? i reckon amazon have a 'network release' roulette wheel!

A little tip I picked up elsewhere for Amazon and Network releases :

On the Amazon webpage go to DVD and then enter Netowrk -Dunaway and then sort by release date and it wil list all the forthcoming Network releases

BTW pleased to say Hillsborough is due on the 7th September

Top tip I'm not exactly sure what this will contain but [ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Choice-Coward-DVD-Margaret-Johnson/dp/B002GDM30O/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1247208793&sr=1-7"]it looks very promising[/ame]

I have no memory of this series, but it sounds like the sort of thing I like. I'd be grateful for anyone's opinions on it.
