    THE CAMP ON BLOOD ISLAND

    YESTERDAY'S ENEMY

    THE DAMNED

    Thank you Dpgmel for that.

I look forward to their release, particularly 'The Camp On Blood Island'. I don't think I've ever seen that one and I understand it stars Andre Morell.

Good on Sony, let's hope there are more of these gems to come.

    A pleasure Carl .

Yes COBI does star Andre Morrell and I can thoroughly recommend it, the same goes for the other two as well

Good news indeed and let's hope these are all in correct 2.35:1 ratio. But (and excuse me if I'm being a wuss here) I can't find any reference to this anywhere. Where did you get this information?

They're all going to be mail order only apparently, probably through Sony's 'exclusive' deal with Moviemail (though titles have been turning up at SimplyHE as well IIRC).

As John says above, it's likely to be through MovieMail.

Just to confirm what's been written above, yes they're all due for 21st September and it's another Sony mail-order exclusive with MovieMail (who I work for). Here are the direct links:

Camp on Blood Island DVD | British Film | Films by Movie Mail UK

The Damned (Losey, 1963) DVD | British Film | Films by Movie Mail UK

Yesterday's Enemy DVD | British Film | Films by Movie Mail UK

    Enjoy!

A question for Dan Hunter. Will these great Hammer releases be 'scope & 16:9 anamorphic. I'm sure they will be, in fact I almost feel guilty for asking, as Sonys Hammer releases have been faultless. Looking forward to seeing (& owning!) these films, I thought the chance had gone when DD went under.

Have found out that they are indeed original aspect ratio:

Camp on blood island - 2.35:1 Anamorphic (original 'MegaScope' aspect ratio)

The Damned - 2.35:1 Anamorphic (original 'Hammerscope' aspect ratio)

Yesterday's Enemy - 2.35:1 Anamorphic (original 'Megascope' aspect ratio)

Thanks for the reply Dan, as I suspected, will get my order in nice & early.
