I've just bought a dvd of this title from ebay. Its not a bootleg, but probably an import becuase it doesn't carry a BBFC certificate on the cover. It's well worth getting if you like this film - this is the COMPLETE 80 minute version, with original credits and the BBFC introduction, NOT the cut 60 minute version that was previously issued on VHS and DVD. And at just £2.75, a real bargain.

This is a proper dvd, not a dvd-r copy. here's the link so you can identify the product:

SCROOGE (1935) - Seymour Hicks/Donald Calthrop DVD NEW! on eBay, also, DVDs, DVD, Film TV (end time 09-Sep-08 18:43:40 BST)

I have bought dvds from this seller in the past .... they are ususally low-price imports from the US. The best one I got from him was a top quality, uncut print of Karloff's The Ghoul. I have just bought a copy of Scrooge ... thanks for the tip Mike.

Just noticed that the 1935 version of Scrooge starring the great Sir Seymour Hicks is being released at a bargain price on the 7th September

I've got a really lousy print of this so would be interested to know if this one is any better. It's not a bad film but the version on the Mill Creek digipak doesn't do it justice at all.

According to Amazon, the film lasts 58 minutes.....that's missing about 19m......and I'm sure the version I saw was longer.

A great version, worth adding to the collection. I'm sure this was last shown on TV about 2 years ago.

The version I have, which was released by a company called 'dvdmovie', runs for 82 minutes and the print is really good.
