THis is driving me nuts, I am sure this cottage by the cliff was used in another film or series I saw recently, in colour too. Maybe something like a 60's/70's crime series? It involved a young woman who thinking the house was empty, found it wasn't and a rather nasty individual was using it. She may have been locked in by the deranged character. Help!

Mrs Bat thinks it was an episode of a TV crime series, but can't remember which one.

That coastal cottage reminds me of a cottage in the film The Road Builder also known as The Night Digger.
I don't have a copy of the film to make a comparison though so I may be way off the mark....I'm just going by memory...last saw it about 6 months ago on TCM. If anyone has a copy it might be worth checking. The Night Digger (1971) |

The beach scenes were filmed at Porthcurno in West Cornwall. I have no idea where the house on the coast is. |

I thought the cottage was in Treyarnon, but, having been there recently the place that I thought it was, was not. If it was filmed in part in Portcurno then it may be situated nearby in Cape Cornwall.

It is defintely Porthcurno beach because you can see the Logan Rock (not the local pub!) in the background.
