Default Night of the Eagle

I watched Night of the eagle for the first time tonight, what a terrific film, not quite as good as Night of the Demon but engrossing and scary enough all the same.
Does anyone know the location of the Big House and/or where the beach scenes might be (looks like Cornwall to me).

Default Night of the Eagle

Watched this again last night, and rather marvellous it is too, but got to wondering if anybody knew the location of the college or coastal cottage?

I'm sure I have seen that coastal cottage in something else.

Some stuff was done around Taplow, so a stately home type search for Berkshire might help...

Yes it reminded me straight away of another film, or a detective series on tv?

Not sure which, but I can see that cottage in my mind very clearly with a man perhaps trying to hide something in an outbuilding. IIRC the inside of the cottage is quite scruffy but someone is using it as a 'love nest'.

It's very close to the cliff edge, I fear sea erosion may have brought about its demolition by now.

thats is why it reminds me of the Treyarnon bay location, you do not see that many houses that close to the water.
