I know the house was a disused house that stood in pinewood studios, they shot the outside locations there.

That'll be the Amicus film with 'Bray' on the For Sale sign? I've an Amicus book so I'll have a peek in it later.

Carmel was right - the house itself was definitely at the studios, and significantly altered for the film (ie given gothic touches). I wouldn't be surprised if it was long gone.

Was this not Shepperton, rather than Pinewood ? I suspect it was one of the old lodges to Littleton House - possibly cleared when they built the big housing estate which abuts the studio.

There is, I think, more detail in the book which DB7 mentioned...

Had a look but nothing on the location. Focuses mainly on the plot and that the film was to be titled Death and the Maiden until Subotsky overruled it.

Church House Antiques (where Peter Cushing meets Joss Ackland) in Weybridge, and the 'Waxworks' across the road are pretty much unchanged to this day.

Many years ago I actually made a purchase in said antique shop, so that sequence always makes me ...

The house was actually part of the studios at... Shepperton? The more gothic elements of the architecture (including the porch) were added on. Most probably been knocked down by now.

Yes, Shepperton. The town (seen mainly, or perhaps only, in the Peter Cushing section) was Weybridge.

The Peter Cushing locations sequences are just down the road, in Weybridge, Surrey.
