Default London film locations?

So, I might be down in London in a month or two's time. I'd like to swing by a few film locations while I'm there.

So far, I have in mind locations from the following films:

The Fallen Idol
The Servant
The End of the Affair
The Nanny
Frenzy

Any other exciting locations I should take in?

Or these 5,320 titles listed on the IMDb with locations listed for them in London.

Excluding TV series, TV movies etc. brings it down to just 2,947 titles which is a much more manageable list

Some of those will include the location of the studios and as London now covers such a large area many of the main studios are sometimes considered as being in London

But you could look at just the films with the highest ratings and bring it down to a list of just 355 titles

Thanks!

But how often do the ratings given by IMDB members do justice to the true greatness of a film?

For example, a random browse reveals that Digby: The Biggest Dog in the World gets a mere 5 out of 10. Point proven!

There are exceptions to every rule. But I find they're a good way of sorting most (not all) of the wheat from most (not all) of the chaff

There's Dirk Bogarde and Slyvia Sim's house on the waterfront in Victim. Don't know where it is though.

If you go to Highgate Cemetery it's a short walk away to Parliament Hill on Hampstead Heath where the majority of those iconic London vista shots are filmed.

Hi Dave, 'Peeping Tom' is a popular Movie here at Britmovie, here's a link to some pics I took last year, Rathbone Street is just off the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street, close to the Tottenham Court Road end.......

Thanks, all.

Mark, Peeping Tom is one I haven't seen in years, but it looks like it'd be a great one to do. I've ordered it so I can see it again.

And talking of Michael Powell's films, you could always go and visit Colonel Blimp's house just round the back of Harrods (Ovington Gardens & Ovington Square)
