Default The Earth Dies Screaming

Would I be right in thinking the car crash scene in the opening is borrowed from Village of the Damned? And the train wreck sequence also used in Seven Sinners?

From memory you are right about the car crash. The plane crash from VILLAGE was similarly re-used elsewhere. Was it EARTH DIES, or somewhere different entirely...?

You'd suspect as much as the budget for The Earth Dies Screaming didn't extend to going far beyond the village pub!

Great film though.

I haven't seen "The Earth Dies Screaming", DB7. But if your surmise about the train wreck is true, then that shown in "Seven Sinners" was itself borrowed from the earlier "The Wrecker" (1929), filmed on the same Basingstoke and Alton line that "Oh Mr Porter" would later be filmed upon, see The Wrecker (1929) - Trivia

So it would be going back a bit!

Having now had a look on Youtube, the scene right at the start of "The Earth Dies Screaming" with the train crash is definitely the same one from "Seven Sinners" and originally "The Wrecker"

Yes, footage of The Wrecker crash was used for Seven Sinners and The Earth Dies Screaming. The shot of the commuter collapsing was filmed at Shepperton station.
