Yes, it is indeed a small world. I moved from Islington in 1950. But interestingly enough, I spent a few months during the war, wearing napkins in Abbots Langley.You refer to the DIY at the former Apsley Mills. Are you aware that Apsley Mills was used for a film called The Bargee? Further along the canal, so was Roses Lime Juice. Today Roses Lime Juice site is now also a DIY emporium called B&Q.
I am frightened to say anymore as things are now gettin g complicated.
