Now does anyone know what beers are on tap for each of the listed pubs & more importantly, what are the barmaids like?

Still hoping that someone will tell me where the pub featured in "Mysteries of Men"(1999) is located.

I'll shout a pint to the provider of such information.
Except for Gibbie who gets a Babycham!

I've found that the telemovie "The Mysteries Of Men"(1999) was a joint BBC/Valentine production.

In turn i found that Valentine Productions are owned/run by actor Nick Berry - who also starred in the above mentioned film.

Does anyone know a contact email/UK address for Valentine Productions? I'm hoping that if i can contact them they may indeed be able to supply me with details of the film's main pub location.

That would indeed put me out of my misery after a long unsuccessful search to locate the mystery pub.

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers!

Dave.

Nick Berry Interview

Perhaps the BBC might now, as they have worked in conjunction with this production co.

He is from Brighton, if that will help.

Cheers,

Gibbie

Many,many thanks Smudge.You are a diamond thumbs_u
I will now try to contact them for the required info.
Would you believe that over the last 3years i had contacted BBC London,BBC Birmingham & Theakston Breweries asking for info on the pubs location.I did not get one reply!!!
Thats how they treat their public.
You know it would be a great boost to the British Tourism Board if more film companies were to list detailed end credits as to where locations were filmed.
Not all film companies do this. They just mention what county or district was used in filming with very little detail.American films give much more location details.
I would have thought that the pub used in "Mysteries of Men"may have also been glad of the extra publicity, but as usual a false name was used for it in the film.
Seems strange not to prosper from the coverage.

By the way Smudge, you did mention earlier that you used to go on pilgrimages to Ealing to hunt out film locations.
Please share any gems that you came across on your visits.Your findings would make great reading.

Again many thanks
Cheers!

Dave.

You're welcome Dave !

BTW that's a Registered Office address (accountants), so just write c/o. There is a company VALENTINE PRODUCTIONS (MYSTERIES OF....) also based there, but the principal company will be best to write to.

It'll certainly surprise them, I should think - and stay their fingers over the calculators buttons awhile eek!

As to my fillum & TV pilgrimages, if I were any good on the web or this site, I'd post some pix. duh So any technical help would be welcomed...

With Smudge's help i was able to contact Nick Berry's VALENTINE PRODUCTIONS.
I received an email reply today that at last tells me where the main pub featured in the film "The Mysteries Of Men"(1999) is actually situated.
The pub's real name is "The Three Horseshoes" & it's situated at Radnage,nr.Stokenchurch,Bucks.

It's situated in a lovely area & I can't wait to have a future pint there.

Cheers all!

Dave.
