I was fortunate enough to stay at Allington Castle,Kent when I was a lad.
This was shortly after some scenes from the Avengers had been shot. Mainly the outside of the castle and also some scenes in the inner "square" - stone exterior steps leading up to the first floor, and I recognised a few other shots.
Thanks to the excellent Avengerland I found that the episode was "Castle D'eath".
I was even allowed up on the roof to see through the battlements.
There was then much talk about the filming the previous month and I am sure it has been used over the years since. In those days the castle was reached via a long lane through a sand quarry (now since built on) and had a boatyard and set of locks on the nearby River Medway nearby.
Excepting those mentioned was its used for any other shoots?
