Default Please help!: Stardust location

Hi! I was wondering if anybody out there could help me with this poser. It's the location (and name hopefully) of a church that was featured in the David Essex film 'Stardust'. It features in the scene where Jim MacLaine goes home for his mother's funeral and there is a hige scrum with police, fans etc. It's quite a long scene and there is a lot of shots of the interior of the church. Ring a bell? Fingers crossed and many thanks in advance.

Sgt Dudfoot,

For starters, I think Michael Apted shot the film in Manchester.

As a kid seem to remember the cemetery scene being filmed near our house.

It was at the cemetery adjoining Sudbury Golf Course on Bridgewater Road, Alperton, Middx.

Yes the church in question is St .Gabriels R.C. Church, Mandeville Road, Northolt.

Visit WELCOME TO ST GABRIEL'S and they have a ( not very good ) exterior

view of the church. Hope this helps.
