i gotta say i'm not impressed with Local Hero at all.. in fact i think it's rubbish! some very wooden acting......and why it was voted as top location is beyond me! i can think of a helluva lot more films that show a lot of a location than Local Hero.

Hi Sarge,

They tell me that there's nothing worse than being impaled by a thistle in the Trussoch's.

I've always been impressed by the number of caber thrower's there are in the Highland's.
I suppose you could say that Scotland's full of tossers.

I recently went on a holiday tour of The Wicker Man locations (staying in the hotel where the young miss Eckland did that dance.

It was a combination of some of the most beautiful, peaceful,eerie and inhospitable places I've ever been to.

St Ninian's cave where the young Rowan Morrison turns up is quite dramatic.
