Hi Benchcluttocks,

Apart from Central London and Brighton I believe that the Clark Easton Factory in South East London was also used as a location for Villian. I do not know the exact address for the factory.

Cheers

Dave.

No idea where they were filmed but they were obviously on the outskirts of London. It was obviously an ideal location for the wages snatch as there were hardly any people there.

I know the pub scenes were filmed in The Assembly House pub in Kentish Town. They say that Liz Taylor pulled pints in between scenes - great story if true

Great film..I waited ages for this to come out on DVD.

Just after the raid has taken place, the villains pull up just opposite Chiswick Park sation and two of them get out and walk towards the station.

In the next scene the car pulls up in Ramsey Road which is in Acton West London, where Richard Burton and John Hallam get out and walk over the footbridge into Foster Road, Chiswick.

They're the only locations I know as I grew up in that area.

The “London & Provincial Bank” which is driven past twice was the old Nat West bank on the corner of Bath Road and Lampton Road – Hounslow which is now a Yates’s. There are also a couple of great shots of Hounslow High Street for those of us who remember it before it was pedestrianised.

Does anyone recognise any of these locations? Apologies for the grabs but they're taken from widescreen.

Dakin's Mum's house:

The country pile:

Dakin's store room:

The cemetery:

And two from ''St Peters West'' hospital

This is now the site of the 'Kensington Green' development in Marloes Road as stated by the previous poster.

I thought it was called St Marys opposed to St Peters?

The church in the background was actual a convent on the corner of Cambridge gardens and Cambridge road, long since gone.
The block of flats is Gloucester House (not sure of the actual spelling) on the junction of Carlton Vale and Cambridge Road. Its still there but now on a round-about.

The distant block is Tollgate House at the northern end of Maida Vale.
When this film was made it was still Kilburn High Road but the address was changed when they built the Hotel.

Pictured is a view, looking up Cambridge road, from the junction of Cambridge place Nw6 (changed to w9 not sure when) towards Kilburn Park station. This piece of the road is now gone to make way for Bronte house, part of the big estate that straddles Kilburn park road.

This is the scene from the film where Vic Dakin , who is in the rover with three others, pulls up outside a laundrette. When they get out they are joined by two others.
They enter through the laundrette and wind up in a disused pub full of TV and Juke boxes. The Pub was called the Shakespeare and the Laundrette used to be a fish and chip shop that was run by Peter Egan’s mother Mary.
C Bradley was a butchers shop.
As you may of guessed This is the area I lived in as a kid.
I went down there today to pick my mum up for the weekend so I had a good look. But I actually remember the film unit being there the scene lasts seconds but the unit was there for a week.

Looks damn good on the aerial maps.

Can't belive they got away with destroying the Church / Convent, all to replaced with the concrete South Kilburn Estate.
