In a political piece about the latest party donations nonsense, I noticed they were playing the 'Get Carter' theme as the background music.......

Don't post them as attachments, post them in the message.
If you store them on a free image hosting site like PhotoBucket, most of them let you create thumbnails (small images) as well.
Include the thumbnail in your message by clicking on the icon when you type in the message and that thumbnail can be linked to the full sized image

Give it a try

How. You can find Hugh Street Wallsend on Google Earth and it does back down towards the Tyne over looking heavy industry there. You can also see where a factory has been demolished directly in line with it. So, it's likely, but who knows.

Best of luck, kidder.

Wrong Hugh Street. The one in the film is at South Benwell.....NOT Wallsend!. The street was pulled down around 1971. It ran from Armstrong Road, over Buddle Road and ended at Scotswood Road. It was the final section ( between Buddle Road and Scotswood Road that is seen in the film). If you stand on Buddle Road with Merton Court behind you and look towards the Tyne then you will be as close as you can get to the right spot seen in the film. The power station was Dunstan. The Metro Centre is roughly on that spot today.

It's been falling to pieces for years.

Imagine how terrible it'd be if a large, heavy weight fell from high up in the car park, say by the steps, and landed on a car driving past. That'd be terrible

Mmm confused because Hugh Street Wallsend has Frank st close by(which was a location aswell- funeral cortege)- so it appeared to link everything - Googling does indeed confirm South Benwell. Was Frank st -Wallsend or elsewhere?

Well I live not far from that neck of the woods. I am hoping that if they do pull the car park down

A They DO NOT build a supermarket where it once stood

B) They erect a statue of Michael Caine there as a trubute

C) I can pinch a bit of it for my garden
