Default 1950's TV Adventures of Robin Hood question

Can anybody identify the exact location of a lake featured fairly frequently in early episodes? It was featured in episode #3 "Dead or Alive" where Robin first meets Little John.

The RH series was filmed at Knettleford studios at Walton on Thames which is now a shopping cenre. The lakes were probably the two at the end of Shepperton or some times they used Frensham pond, surrey, near Farnham. I have not seen these episodes but as you know the studio was on the Thames river edge. I will put my money on Frensham pond which is a big lake. My father worked on the series. regards Rita

Hello Stephen, I gave you some wrong info. It shud have read Nettlefold studios. My father was a sound man, moved to Australia in 1965 and died 1970 aged 52. Spent 12 years in the navy 39-45 and then in the reserve. He loved electrics and made a clockwork tape recorder after the war. He lived in Essex and commuted to the studio by train 2 hours each way. I inherited most of his recorders and mics etc. I have some still shots somewhere of RH but maybe in poor state will try and get them copied. regards Rita

Closer and alongside many of their other locations.

My curiosity about "Why this career" gets another boost from Rita who talks about her father's love for electrics, and probably takes that after the war into studio work, and goes on from there. Thanks, Rita... it's always interesting to me to hear how people got into the film industry.
