on www.quadrophenic.com/ it says they have a bath at Porchester Spa not Lime Grove but that doesnt add up as they meet up round the corner in the pie and mash shop on Goldhawk Road

It aslo says the Chemist is 442 Uxbridge Road not 440 Kings street as mentioned on this thread

so whch is right

Default The Baths...

Look at the towels by the baths and around the guys waist in the corridor.. says 'Property of Westminster'. Rules out lime grove and Porchester was confirmed by the Victorian restoration society who arranged for Porchester Spa to be Renovated. Also TheWho played at Porchester Hall. A lot of the locations we're emailed to me from visitors to the site and the Chemist is one i've not been to. Firstly i was told it was on the Kings road, then someone said that it was on the Uxbridge road. They said they've been to the Uxbridge road location (still a chemist) and confirmed that it was once called R.H. Kerr as in the film. I'll confirm the remaiming locations when i visit later in the year.
p.s. the site is just a hobby, a bit of fun, enjoy it for what it is, if you find anything not correct please let me know and i'll gladly change it. All the best. Shawn

Nobby, i'd like to hear why you think it's on the goldhawk road next to the fish shop, so we can go and check it out. Cheers Shawn.

Just a few notes that may be of interest re. Brighton locations... some have been mentioned but I may be able to give clearer directions as a lifetime Brighton resident!

1. The little alley Jim and Steph escape up can be accessed most easliy from East Street, which is a street leading off the seafront road, very near to the Palace Pier (as you can tell in the film). It's on your left as you leave the seafront and if I remember rightly has a shoeshop on one side of it. The garden they have sex in has a lock on the gate, natch, but the whole space is covered in mod/Who graffitti not deterred by the fact it gets washed off regularly. Please be respectful of the residents if you do visit cos I know the people who live in the flat above and they get hacked off with it all!

2. The cafe the mods trash is on the corner of Ship St, on the seafront and again near the pier. It's worth a pilgrimage but it's now a not-very-brilliant chip shop with very rude service :)

3. If you're looking for the view Jimmy has of Brighon coming in on his scooter - don;t bother. It's not Brighton at all. It's Shoreham or something...

4. not in Brighton, but I have also heard that Alfredo's is now an S&M cafe in Camden. Hope it hasn't burned down. Shame it hasn't retained its original identity, but at least now it combines a Quad connection with excellent bangers and mash - what could be better?

This is my own question about locations: I've just moved to Shepherd's Bush (can't seem to live in non-Who areas!) and have already got all excited because I live 5 minutes from the famous Goldhawk Road Social Club where the who played their first gigs. But I also pass Goldhawk Road station every day, opposite which is a traditional pie, mash and eel cafe which looks very much like Jimmy's one in Quad (also situated almost under a railway bridge). Does anyone know if this is the filming location for that scene?

Hooray! I thought it was Goldhawk Road - is that the pie and eel cafe that's still there, d'you know? It looks like it - I like just off goldhawk Road. Blimey, what with this and passing the Goldhawk Road Social Club (now The shepherd's Bush Club) every bus trip to work is a Quad/Who homage for me!

Mmm, just been for lunch at Cookes on the way home and can recommend it. Couldn't match Jimmy and have pie and mash cos I don't eat meat - but the eels and mash is gorgeous and the staff are lovely. Oh, and they pile on the licqour without you having to ask!
