For anyone has seen this film and who knows Nottingham was the school that they filmed Porchester Junior?

I was surprised to see in the end credits that it was filmed in Gedling and Carlton. I was born and grew up there but didn't recognise the area. I can only assume it was filmed on the Gedling pit miners' estate to the north of Westdale Lane - the former rented miners'homes having long been sold off.

I'll have to watch it again and try to spot Gedling church spire.

The housing estate looked circa 75-85 and I seem to remember was built on a slope.

The miners' estate was 50/60s and when they were sold off the owners made improvements and built extensions. The estate continued to expand into the 70s. Yes, the estate sloped steeply down from Westdale Lane.

I lived in Carlton on Prospect Road from when I was 8 years old to approx 15 and went to Porchester Junior and i'm sure that is the school that is in the film.
