As so much of the rest of it is a studio based re-creation of
A Canterbury Tale (Eric Portman as the respectable man with a secret, Sheila Sim as the Land Girl), I wonder if they had the cheek to use a village near Canterbury?
I often use

A Canterbury Tale as objects of comparison, mainly to point out the advantage of good use of exteriors.
