This is entirely from memory and I may well be quite wrong - but I seem to recall some exterior scenes with Michael Denison walking past a distinctive multi-arched market hall in the background?
If I've got the correct film then that is Chipping Campden in Gloucestershire one of the prettiest towns in the Cotswolds
