Hello there...
I am starting some research for a book I am planning about famous film sets. Part of this project is that I intend to recreate some of the more famous TV and film stage sets by means of illustrations (I am a graphic designer). My question is - where do you think the best source of the original designs are? Can anyone suggest reference material that has already been published about classic TV or film set design? Many thanks in advance... B |

I know there are quite a few good books on the subject, but a lot of them feature glossy still rather than comprehensive plans. I remember a great book by Leon Barsaq which I wish I still had. There is at least one good book about Ken Adam, and a search on Amazon would turn up lots of stuff on production design.
