French Dressing

This was Ken Russell's first film and the seaside town of Herne Bay and the old pier feature a lot. Also has footage of the old paddle steamer "The Medway Queen".



It doesn't seem to exist as a VHS or DVD. Quite recently (2008), they had a special screening in Herne Bay, where Ken himself gave a talk on the making of the film. There are a few clips up on Youtube, and some of it looks quite charming with music by Georges Delerue



Does anyone know if it available anywhere, or will it be ?

I know there are a few DVD - R copies kicking around from this board as I have one of them. I didn't really rate the film much.

Ken is I believe coming to introduce his film of THE BOYFRIEND in the Theatre Royal Portsmouth (where some of the exteriors were filmed) in March.
