Default Shooting Stars (silent film .. not Reeves n Mortimer)

The first film I took my wife to see was Shooting Stars with Brian Aherne and Donald Calthrop. It's a murder melodrama set in the film business with some scenes filmed here in Norfolk. It came to a Norwich cinema as part of a BFI tour but they have never released it to video/dvd. It is a wonderful film and I would love to see it again. Can anyone help?

Default "Shooting Stars" 1927

I'm sending for a Copy today. I'm getting an NTSC (VHS), mainly to have, for Chili
Bouchier, who's also in the Film. Email Me, if interested.

Default SHOOTING STARS dir Anthony Asquith/A V Bramble 1927

I first enquired about this some time ago. The BFI took this film on theroad 11 years ago. I remember it well 'cos it was the first film Mrs Bat and I went to see together. A DVD release was announced about a year ago but I have heard nothing since and have not been able to track it down anywhere, including the BFI. Has anyone heard of a DVD (or VHS) being available? We both would really love a copy of this film.

Many thanks.

Bats.
