I too would love a copy of this. I do know that the British Film Institute has a copy and maybe even screened it a few years ago so it is not "Lost" but I too have been looking for it on the collector's circuit for a few years without success. I'd like to think it was out there, though.

I am glad it is not "lost". I worked on it as a lowly

    assistant Director. Good memories,

John, I would dearly love to hear your memories of working with the terminally underrated Dennis Price on this project.

Incidentally the BFI have, I think, a route for people directly connected with the films in their archives to request copies. I would gladly pay for any such retrieval if you would lend the weight of your name to such a request. Additionally I would happily do all the legwork to reunite you with your work and unite me with a copy of this elusive movie.

I certainly can't recall it ever being shown on TV, although I could be wrong.

Yes, but on a small screen?

Ray, apparently it was shown back in 1962! At 7.40pm! Nice and precise the BFI!

Ah, then I probably did watch it, but after nearly 50 years it isn't one that I remember.

Or pay by the foot of film in excess of £200 to have it telecined and sign a contract to not distribute it. I'd gladly pay that sort of money for Don't Panic Chaps and Noose for a Lady.

No the BFI have neither Noose for a Lady or Don't Panic Chaps as far as I can gather.

Though the good news is - if you do find a copy, you'll probably be able to exercise droit de seigneur over half the forum

It goes without saying every collector here wants a Joan Greenwood girls reform school film, surely???

I would settle for a decent DVD swap rather than possessing their daughters that said is it a total loss? do the BFI own a copy? Can I dare to dream of that day when it is released as a triple feature with The Bad Lord Byron and Kind Hearts... (obviously as a Joan Greenwood triple bill not Mr Price)

I don't think the BFI have a viewing copy. Or do they? I imagine they have the film itself. IMDB reviews indicate it has been shown on US cable TV.

It's one of the rarer Margaret Lockwood films - especially considering she was at the peak of her popularity when it was made.

It's probably all to do with it being made by a small production company who only made a few films than disappeared...
