Agreed ... I only caught the odd episode now and again but I would love to see the mall.

I've got that Dad's Army episode on VHS.
I really loved A Mind To Kill, but I have always liked Philip Madoc.

Bats - did you mean to say 'the mall' or 'them all'?

This series was also broadcast on S4C in welsh. It was not dubbed. They actually shot the film in two languages, English and Welsh.
It would be interesting to actually see the two versions running side by side to see any differences between the two.

If you find it Hippy Dave, let us know. I thought this was an exceptional piece of drama and compares well with Morse.

A Mind to Kill was about 20 episodes made in 90s till about 2002 I think. Was set in Wales, Philip Madoc played a cop called Noel Bain, the stories were bit like Prime Suspect, Cracker , Wire in the Blood etc, and shown on Channel 5.D

I used to love watching these. But remind me, I heard that they originally started out as a film starring Hywell Bennet as a shifty sort and Madoc as Bain, is that true?

Yes DD, it did indeed start out as a film with HB, then a 20 episode series, pity not many got to see it on Channel 5, and deserves a dvd release or certainly someone contacting me and giving me them haha D

I really liked this series. At the time it was called a Welsh Morse by some reviewers but I always felt its dark, gritty storylines had more in with common with Taggart.

I have some episodes and I wish I had kept the rest. I'd be very interested to hear from anyone else with copies.
