Old B&W Classic - Britmovie

Trying to find the name of a film, probably shot in the 50's about an English village trying to stop some land develop (I think ?) and/or protecting a birds nest (possibly a Pippit). Thought it had Margaret Rutherford as lead character but web search hasn't set her name against this type of movie.

Any thoughts out there?

Just checked the search and found Tawny Pippit. next question, how can I obtain it on DVD?

I have a DVD of THE TAWNY PIPIT recorded directly off digital TV (not a VHS dub) - great quality
