Looking for this film on DVD. I don't think it has ever been released. Starred Dennis Waterman, Suzy Kendall, Maureen Lipman, Adrienne Posta. Any one got any bright ideas as to how I can get it?

It was released on DVD a few years back ... amazon.co.uk have one available but copies can also be picked up via ebay.

Amazon.co.uk: Up the Junction (1968): DVD

To give the bloke his due, he doesn't make any pretence that it is anything other than a VHS to DVD transfer.....

"1 out of 5: "This is not the 'official' DVD studio release but a pirate DVDR copy. It's outrageous that Amazon allow this practice to go on. I requested a full refund."

Seller Response: "Funny how you didnt email or send the film back.More than likely a dealer and copied the dvd.Send the film back and you will receive a refund. And for your information the film has never been released on either dvd or video. How stupid can you get." Date: 2008/6/2 "

Well according to one of the comments one of the guys made on Amazon it seems that Up The Junction is being given a DVD release by Paramount. I hope this isn't a flash in the pan. Up The Junction is my all time favourite film. I just hope that Paramount will manage to get some extras on the DVD i.e The original theatrical trailer, a good audio commentary with some of the main actors, a then and now filming location documentary.

A new DVD is coming soon from Paramount, so it's best to wait. ;)

I bought a bootleg copy off of e bay, really trashy quality. So, the news that its finally getting a legal release has just about made my day.

One of my alltime favourite 60's films, notable for a comical (albeit short) performance by Alfie Bass and the brief shot of the White Jaguar "E" type............

Like many others, it's with great anticipation I wait for this treasured release!
Considering it's (1968) release some of the fashions/hairstyles were already quite dated! Beehive backcombing was at it's zenith around 64/65 and mini shirts around '66! and that liquid paint on the eyes?-well that could be now!
The London pub scene; bright lights and live bands with a small stage are all but a nostalgic memory for most, but, it's great to relive it here!

That's something I thought when Suzy Kendall's character had her Hair styled into a 60's Bouffant, I'm assuming the Movie was made in the Summer of '67, the advent of the long-haired 'Hippie era', if it was the other way round that would be more coherent, as for Mini-Skirts they carried on into the 70's, as 'Dollybirds', and 'Mini-skirts' are regularly referred to in episodes of On the Buses!

Ditto.

The same old poor copies must still be doing the circuits.

Surprised that this film has not been shown on television for yonks.

Dave.
