I've made a really nice DVD from a digital broadcast with a main menu.

Default The Black Rider

Does anyone have a good copy of "The Black Rider" (1954) starring Jimmy Hanley and Lionel Jeffries? (or can you suggest where I might buy a copy?)

I have looked on the web, but no luck.

Plenty to trade.

I know it was, but, unfortunately, it has that annoying "dog" in the corner!

You'll be hard put to find films like that broadcast nowadays on any channel that doesn't have a DOG in the corner. And films like that aren't broadcast very often, you sometimes have to make do with what is available

Why this concern about a 'DOG' ?

Surely only a bootlegger would be concerned about this.........

BBC Four used to show films without a logo - when did they dumbdown their output to be just like any other useless satellite channel?

Many viewers detest on-screen "dogs" and all the other things that detract from tv viewing now - the incessant talking over credits, red buttons, etc. All of these things "spoil" the experience of watching, and I would be surprised if I was alone in thinking this.

I'm just glad to see the films shown in any way. I can ignore DOGs, signers or any other distractions - it's a gift

I don't classify myself as being a "bootlegger" (thank you!). I just don't want to watch a film with a logo in the corner; I am a collector and I just find the logo distracting. If I could, I would buy it commercially, but it isn't available.
