That film title "It's Great to be Young" fit Sir John Mills who stayed young and was active in his career right up to the last in 2005. Sir John's birthday, 22 February was two days ago, so here is a warm and respectful nod to the great man.

I have posted my remarks on this film some months ago. A nicce film with Cecil Parker; always worth watching.

My mum used to work as usherette/box office at the local fleapit in the 50s/60s - so I was fortunate in seeing this film every night for as long as it was shown. I got to know the dialogue off by heart - well I was the same age as those youngsters in the film and I suppose I identified with them.

Good the see the kids in school uniform - not something you see these days and most of them on bikes!!

Wonderful film, and the song over the opening titles by Ruby Murray. My word it takes me back. Funny thing is, there was a picture in a newspaper the other day of Richard O'Sullivan in an old age home for theatricals!! He played the nipper in the film! He's now 62 apparently. Strange to see him there, don't think he's been that well.
