Although it was distributed by MGM-British, this movie, "Darby and Joan", directed by Syd Courtenay, seems to have disappeared from the Earth's surface! to my knowledge, it's the only one of the films made by Tod in the Thirties (the 40's and 50's have their lots of problems, but this is another story...) which is unavailable... And incredibly enough, in spite of extensive search, I was unable to find complete informations on this movie, for instance a detailed synopsis (not the three or four lines published by movie magazines of the time...). I do have the novel by "Rita", but the film can be different.
More incredible perhaps, it seems impossible to find a single still of this movie. The BFI has absolutely nothing on it.
Well, in brief, I'm looking for a video of the film, or some stills eventually... Thanks to everybody... and sorry for the broken English.
